I, R.G. Raja Rajan, completed Ph.D in Biotechnology in the topic “Preparation of phytosterol esters of alpha linolenic acid and its utilization in food”. In my Ph.D program I, worked on rice bran oil, linseed oil, nutraceutical development (phytosterol esters of ALA), enzymatic esterification, animal experiments, product development and sensory evaluation. I worked in CFTRI as project assistant (4 years) and senior research fellow awarded by Indian Council of Medial Research (ICMR) (SRF, 4 years). I, had published 7 research papers, 2 review papers, presented 7 posters in national and international symposium and 2 research papers are under review. 

I, am very much interested in pursuing my carrier in research and would like to work in the field of omega 3 fatty acids (ALA, SDA, EPA and DHA) phytosterols and its esters, nutraceuticals, nutrition aspects of omega 3 fatty acids, phytosterols, and identification of novel source of oil.
