Barros, M. A., Laburú, C. E., & da Silva, F. R. (2010). An instrument for measuring self-efficacy beliefs of secondary school physics teachers. Procedia-Social and Behavioral Sciences, 2(2), 3129-3133.
Nathaniel - the 10-item general self-efficacy scale (Schwarzer & Jerusalem, 1995) can be adapted to measure self-efficacy regarding a specific behavior or activity. I used the scale in my doctoral Capstone, with the addition of 4 original items of my own. The literature documents this process and it is recommended for evaluating specific self-efficacy
For example, I was looking at self-efficacy among opiate addicted individuals and the impact on treatment outcomes. So I administered the scale as written with 4 questions relating specifically to abstaining from opiates in various situations. You can see my study here on RG: The Effect of Self-Efficacy on Treatment.
Self-efficacy is very interetsing. Looking forward to following your study.
