I need some data on Forest outlay of grants for resettlement of shifting cultivators as it is necessary for saving avoidable degradation of Forest resources in Northeastern state of Tripura in India.
I am doubtful that such data exists easily available, maybe if you have good contact with forestry officials , but maybe in the following publications you can get some trace......

good references Eberhard Weber . As shifting cultivation is implicitly restricted by GOI and so forest department or any government agencies will not reveal the data. Yes you can get help of NGOs or other local agencies working in field to get the information from scratch.
