1. Spinning - How do we achieve consistent quality of yarn, when the cotton crop / fiber quality varies from season to season.
2. Spinning - What are the factors, which affect the quality of cotton yarn from mixing to winding.
3. Productivity - There is a good improvement in the productivity areas of textile industry overall in the last few decades, is there comparable improvement made in the quality areas as well ?..If yes, please list the developments and it's contribution.
4. Automation - A lot of automation concepts and innovative machinery have come into market in the textile industry. Is there any studies conducted on the CBA (Cost Benefit Analysis) of these new concepts and machinery to justify their presence and it's contribution to the textile industry.
5. Maintenance - Most of the textile mills today still uses manually prepared preventive maintenance schedules and or custom made software to do preventive maintenance. Why preventive maintenance software are not successful in textile industry or what is the success rate of preventive maintenance software in textile industry and how effective are these software?.
6. Plant utilization % (PU%) is a prime indicator of the textile industries operational efficiency as of date. Is this a myth. Developed countries do not view this as prime indicator anymore. Value addition is taking the driving seat. How do Indian textile industry treat value addition in their operations ?.,
