I was wondering what kind of lens people normally use for spacial filtering of the laser light.

To focus a beam on a light on a pinhole, I would use an objective lens, like this one from Newport (https://www.newport.com/f/three-axis-spatial-filters), but what kind of lens would people use to collimate the light passing through a pinhole?

I can use another objective lens, but commonly transmission of objective lenses are not very good. So I was thinking that an aspheric lens with short focal length and high transmission might be a better option.

Would there be any drawback of using aspheric lenses?

Do you have any recommended (i.e. cheap and high performance) aspheric lens for this type of application?
