I am looking for a reference methodology to study changes in size and shape of a seasonal wetland in tropical region. i want to use LANDSAT TM, ETM+, EMT(OLI) for land use land cover change. The changes in shape and size is also a focus of this study.
I also want to check the relationship of climate change and changes in wetland. However, one problem is the unavailability of ground climate data in the study area. in this regard, what can be an alternative to retrieve climate data? is there any remotely sensed climate data available with medium resolution?

You can use CMIP5 data available from 1850 to 2100. Depends on the resolution you require, the finest that a CMIP5 model goes is ~0.5 for a variety of MIROC model. You can also use MEERA reanalysis data if you are interested in only past climate change.

The the seasonal areal expansion and rate of change wetlands can be predicted using Remote sensing approaches. The climate data for the study area can be processed from Global Climate model (GCM) using any of the available downs calling methods. The climate data is a grid record in a seasonal basis. This will help you to make correlation between the change in wetland and climate.
