Hello everyone,
I'm currently a PhD student at the Department of Biological Sciences at METU, Turkey and I need some research ideas relating ornithology/avian ecology/avian conservation to plant ecology or diversity. I am also open to collaboration offers. I would be glad if someone from this awesome community can help me find some good research ideas for small or medium scoped research projects.
P.S. I'm experienced in ornithology, ecology and conservation biology and my supervisor is a botanist/plant ecologist.
Hi Kaan, a very interesting research field is the animal-plant interactions ecology. Ornithocoria includes frugivory and seed dispersal studies with birds. Im very interested in the role of birds in the distribution of pioners and early secondary species, and assisting the natural regeneration. This a good field of study, inclusive, you may consider installing artificial perches.

That's actually a quite appealing field of study! Especially the roles of birds in regenaration of disturbed or destroyed habitats. I will work on this idea! Thank you!
