Im currently doing my Work Intergrated Learning in a textile industry and at school we are required to do a project/ an investigation which is chemistry related and as well bind the student/s and the company where their currently doing their WIL, which would add value to the company if solved successfully.

It should be applicable to your country as well. Therefore, best you can do is, speak with the industrial sector research and development laboratories to see their respective problems.
Then, if they are happy, you may have those as projects. Probably the industrial sector might find those.
These are some areas you can think of.
1. Removal of colors from waste water
2. Minimizing color fading in sunlight
