I am trying to quantify nanomolar levels of sulfate in millimolar sulfite and thiosulfate solution. HPLC is not very efficient, since sulfite gets oxidized during the chromatography. I was thinking of using affinity columns. Any advice?
I don't know your detection mode, but ascorbic acid has strong absorption at 270 nm. So when used as mobile phase additive you can get negative peaks of your analyte. I'm wonder your result.
