Hi all.
I have been starting to wonder if the cleanliness of the PTFE liners I use in an autoclave for hydrothermal zeolite synthesis has been affecting the success of the syntheses.
These liners become contaminated rather quickly with repeated use, even turning grey or black. Obviously this is not ideal for this type of synthesis so I've been doing my best to restore the liners.
Abrasive materials do not appear to work and the use of HF is a last resort. Is anyone experienced in these techniques aware of an effective method of cleaning these liners...or are we up for lots of expensive PTFE liners?
Thanks!
