Termination from a job is an unpleasant experience which most teachers have to go through at some point during their professional career. Getting terminated from the job may have psychological, professional and financial consequences on teachers.
Suppose as an M.Phil. student, you decide to investigate the experience of termination from job of secondary school teachers in the private sector as part of your thesis research.

Answer to Q.no 1 (a) Research Paradigm: if we want to explore perceptions, experiences of secondary school teachers after termination from job then constructivist paradigm of research will be more helpful, and if we want to quantify that perceptions and experiences then positivist paradigm can also work.
Answer to Q.no 1 (b): Descriptive qualitative research design, where through in depth interviews from participants, will help in exploring experiences regarding termination from job.
Answer to Q.no 2 (a): Target population will be secondary school teachers who were terminated as we want to explore their experiences, context could be teachers' homes or any place of participants' choice, sampling technique will be purposive sampling (qualitative research most of the time has purposive sampling); sample size 12 or 14 teachers, is tentative , male, female both as qualitative sample depends on saturation, so sample size could be final after point of saturation reached.

There are nine steps to conduct meta analysis. These nine steps are in general applicable to all meta-analyses.
1. Frame a question (based on a theory)
2. Run a search (on Pubmed/Medline, Google Scholar, other sources)
3. Read the abstract and title of the individual papers.

5. Determine the quality of the information in these articles. This is done using a judgment of their
internal validity but also using the GRADE criteria
6. Determine the extent to which these articles are heterogeneous
7. Estimate the summary effect size in the form of Odds Ratio and using both fixed and random effects
models and construct a forest plot
8. Determine the extent to which these articles have publication bias and run a funnel plot
9. Conduct subgroup analyses and meta regression to test if there are subsets of research that capture
the summary effects
