No problem at all. CLE teaching can be used and adapatable in every language and culture through natural approach in learning starting from meaning / making sense of the text/activities and teachers’ scaffolding techniques.
I have done some research with bilingual, Faris and English, and monolingual Farsi speaker children. In my experience, when L1 and 2 have the same origin L1 facilitates learning L2 more than when the 2 languages have different origin.
