I need to find an alternative set-up for electroluminescence without CCD? In other words electroluminescence set-up that do not need any expensive equipment. Also can someone link me readings with the same set-up.
You could try low cost CCDs if sensitivity is not an issue.
Alternatively, you could measure EL intensity with a photodiode or a PMT. EL spectrum can be measured with a low cost ocean optics spectrometer if sensitivity is not an issue.
CMOS array spectrometers are as low as $1500; linear variable filter based CMOS array systems like the SPARK are around $500. There are also DIY spectrometer designs for iphones
If you have a grating laying around with a non-zero efficiency for the wavelength you are interested in, a slit (or a custom made equivalent) , a photo-diode and a couple of lenses you could make yourself a small spectroscopy setup. You would need to scan your spectrum across the slit and take intensity measurements vs grating angle (that should be equivalent to wavelength). If you automate the setup it could be quite robust as well.
