lets say we are doing a basic crystal violet absorption lab. ( alot of them on google) . And we are using spectrophotometry, What are other techniques that would be suitable to follow a change in concentration as a function of time in diffrenet types of reactions.

Beside above techniques ,you can follow the change in concentration by Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) or Total organic carbon (TOC) techniques
Beside above techniques you could use turbidity technique. I have done a lot of kinetic experiments for investigation the interaction between macromolecules and minerals by utilizing simple technique like turbidity. Since in such technique you do not need a UV Vis absorber which is must be available during the spectrophotometry
