Prompt engineering is the art/science of designing prompts to be input to AI to get better responses and help solve problems. The AI prompts used by Propmt Enginnering in the existing AI tools now are written mostly in English to leverage AI power. So in the era of AI, the english language may shaddow all the other langages. what do you think about it ?
It is true that most of the existing AI tools and systems use English as their primary language. However, this is not because AI is inherently biased towards English or any specific language. Rather, it is because English has become a universal language of technology and business, and it has been widely adopted by the scientific and engineering communities worldwide.
That being said, AI is capable of processing and understanding multiple languages, and many companies and researchers are working on developing multilingual AI systems. Moreover, as AI continues to evolve and improve, it is possible that it will become more proficient in understanding and responding in other languages besides English.
However, the widespread use of English in the AI prompts and training data may have unintended consequences for other languages. For example, it may lead to a lack of resources and support for developing AI systems in other languages, which could further reinforce the dominance of English in the technology industry.
Overall, while the current state of AI may favor English, it is important to continue to invest in multilingual AI research and development to ensure that AI systems can effectively serve people in all languages and regions.
thank you Natha Mohamed , with AI , Languages are not becoming not only languages but programming languages. i hope the Industry will tackle this challenge because the transition will be costly. hopefully, One of solution woulb be a kind of Search and Translate Engine that translate prompt from any lanuguages to find the nearst and the efficient one form other languages, a kind of Google Prompt AI with deep insight of meta data behind AI prompts. I hope this will be addressed, otherwise the damage caused by AI to the all the cultue of humainty and the diversity will be fatal.
I believe that the English language will not receive any special privileges. AI works fine in different languages, although with more delay, but this is a temporary phenomenon. Moreover, the creation of the Chinese Large Language Model PanGu-Σ, which has over a trillion parameters, puts Chinese language in a better position.

The word "language" has many meanings and connotations. Language is used for everyday communication as well. Moreover, when It comes to AI, most parts of the world (please read: developing countries) have no idea about it.
Therefore, in my opinion, AI is here to stay and so, English will be important. But, other languages will not lose their importance.
