scientists managed to develop machine learning (deep learning) system that has the ability to write its own code without needing a programmer.. what you mentioned is possible in the future with “AI - deep writing”..
There is no constrain in our physical world which would allow "no" answer. Actually, preparations are being made, for example:

Also, "unique" is a slippery direction. "Enjoyable by majority of human readers" would be safer.

Have you ever heard about AI of Google https://research.googleblog.com/2015/06/inceptionism-going-deeper-into-neural.html. It can make an imagination about the world in future (look like a dream)? And have you ever heard about a program SCIgen (MIT) to build a scientific paper :) https://pdos.csail.mit.edu/archive/scigen/ Of course, an AI could do the job that you are talking about! I think now it can do, no need in the future!
I think it mainly depends on the focused readers... But it could turn out terrifying (I'm a writer): low quality automated food for soul for lumpen-proletariat... To better his writings, a robot should be able to be wrong and to use its own errors. A dangerous door to open...
Rafal Rzepka Do you really think plot is enough to tell a story? It would be a story without relief, means a story humans forget right away or call boring. Maybe it represents the future for reading robots and AI. If you want to seduce human readers, you should ask writers and poets to help you.
Dang N. H. Thanh Of course, AI already can lay scientific texts. Why? Because they are traditionally horribly written and don't respect narration rules. An easy job for a non-sensible machine. What clearly shows the danger of pure degeneration for those scientific texts, yet purposeless in the vast majority.
