In my opinion, generative artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming areas of visual content creation, offering users the ability to generate professional graphics, animations and videos based on simple text commands. The technology enables companies to reduce the cost of producing advertising and promotional materials and increase their variety and quality, which is particularly attracting the marketing and film industries. However, the use of AI also carries the risk of generating misinformation, especially through realistic images and deepfake videos, which can be used on social media to spread manipulation. In response, platforms such as Facebook and Twitter are seeking to control the spread of such content through AI-based verification systems. At the same time, AI is having a huge impact on the film industry, enabling much more realistic and dynamic visualizations of sets, which can reduce production time and costs by up to 20-30%. With capabilities such as lighting and texture simulations, AI allows for better integration of production stages, contributing to changes in traditional film design practices. A key aspect remains the balance between automation and creative human control. The introduction of AI as a potential “collaborator” can open up new perspectives for filmmakers, especially in the design and visualization process. Researchers such as Lev Manovich and Toby Walsh are exploring the ethical and artistic aspects of AI in the arts, pointing to its future potential as a tool to support rather than replace human creative expression. As the technology evolves, it has the potential to influence the future of the creative industries, offering new means of expression and visual innovation not previously available through traditional methods.
