A recent article about temperatures on the Earth has given a surprising result about climate change and Man's influence on this.

The web article, Temperatures of the Earth -- a Globe in Space (at http://www.aoi.com.au/bcw/EarthTemp/index.htm) does not investigate whether human activities have, or have not, affected our climate.

Instead, it shows that human activities CANNOT affect average world temperatures.

This is because the Earth exists in dynamic thermal equilibrium -- at every instant, heat energy flowing to the Earth is exactly balanced by energy radiated off.

If mankind puts extra heat into the atmosphere, the amount of heat radiated off will instantly rise to compensate. The average planet-wide temperature can only change if the incoming energy level changes.
