I have a free radical polymerization and direct bonding for example carbon from PS to graphenes carbon. your proposed article used the ATRP method and this method used  the carboxylic group. this group will easy hydrolyse in KOH solution and polymer chains will be isolated. in my work has not hydroxyl, C=O and COOH groups in graft.
