Sounds good. But is it true? What is a definition of a bad person?
Any talent is nothing more than the ability to adapt to the environment: intelligence
OK.
Does it mean that a bad person cannot be a talented person?

I understand the emotional painting of the desire that every good intelligent professional should be a good person as well. But it is rather a wishful thinking, than a true statement. Life is complicated, and many different combinations coexist, whether we like it or not.

It is entirely true. A bad person survives like a parasite without giving any share of the credits in any successful venture. It is difficult for him to imbibe the concept of 'sharing and caring' an essential part of team work, and the essence of a symbiotic relationship, the very basis of humans as a social being.
Think the keyword here is "never" - a bad person might not be a good professional at the point of time when s/he was bad. But if the bad person is penalized & repented, can s/he still be a good professional? or should we give him / her a second chance to proof his / her worth or determination?
On the emotional and the level of belief I agree with your entry above, except the first phrase: "It is entirely true". No, what you said is not a logical prove of the dear Dr. Otaso's statement.
I also agree with you that it is difficult for a bad person to survive in the heavy team work environment. However, it is not entirely impossible as well. Please, note that Dr. Otaso's statement is quite wide, and includes professional bad people whose domains do not require a heavy team work sharing activity.
Dear Mr. Hang This is definitely true, but some times it might change eg. a bad person or criminal in the prison get education and a new profession, so when he or she comes out they have already changed and live happily within the society.
How bad is this bad? I do not think, professionalism has nothing to do with a person being good or bad. Bad in what respect? If this "bad" is with reference to profession, then , yes he/she can never be good professional. According to me some of the bad traits of a person which would hamper to become a good professional are;
how you indicate the criteria of a bad man, definitional issues should be first clarify before concepting a thorough analysis on the research objective
The best professionals are always: excellent, committed and ethical. I do not think so, because they do not achieve excellence if they do not go beyond satisfying their ego, their ambition or their greed. If you do not commit to goals that go beyond your needs to serve those of all. And that demands ethics.
