15N natural abundance method is among the techniques used to reliably measure N fixed (%Ndfa). This works, due to the difference in 15N abundance between soil & atmospheric N2, thereby, used to measure BNF. Which value of δ15N indicates weather the test crop/N-fixing crop is driving more N from atmosphere (i.e. the lower value or the higher value of δ15N of the N2-fixing crop)?.
