can anybody explain to me which tools can be used for simulating the wave propagation in troposphere turbulence any other than Multiphase screen?

We can simulating EM wave progation in turbulence by using Multiphase screen, can someone tell me whether we can caculate the mid-value of the EM wave power in anther way?
