Can the recipient mice and competitor cells in a bone marrow transplantation express the same profile of CD45.1 and CD45.2?

In a competitive bone marrow transplantation assay doesn't the donor, competent and recipient cells should bear a unique Cd45 allele expression? I am confused by the different strategies...
