How can i obtain a cellulose gel from cotton and luffa cylindrica ?

i have 2 solvents that i can make use of, they are 1) N,N Dimethyl Formamide 2) Acetonitrile Is there any reagent that i can make us of for the fibres to dissolve in these solvents
