Can anyone recommend any contemporary authors of African, Indian, Pakistani and/or Japanese fiction who deal well with spatiality in their work?

I'm researching Soja and Bachelard on spatiality and the poetics of space and am looking for two or three texts to use as application for their theories.Thank you.
