I want to calculate the effective mass of MoSe2. From VASP band I found d2E/dK2 = 26.51. Now what is the effective mass of the system ?

(d2E/dk2)electron = 26.51 d2E/dk2)hole = -25.51 Now, using the effective mass formula we found the value of effective mass is 0.009. But the reported result is 0.6.
