without surfactants, if LDH and LDOs adsorb cationic dyes, then how we can explain it ?

i had Checked the absorbance at diff conc. (5-20 ppm) to draw the standard line for MB dye. but the absorbance is 4.398 for 20ppm should i repeat?

as we know absorbance shouldnt go greater then 2. but i observed 4.398 for 20ppm. if i make low concentrations solution of 2-10ppm then absorbance will be within the range for standard line but...
