Any suggestions of synthetic routes which could lead to mono N-methylation of an unsaturated aliphatic primary amine, exclusively?

I am trying reductive alkylation but ending up with many unwanted products. Probably, need to fine tune conditions like pH, solvents, temperature. I followed the attached papers.
