Is there a way to relate ECG data or even amplitude of a R peak to that of an average T peak amplitude?

The idea is to try and identify a way to set a proper threshold for peak detection from the ECG data itself or the R peaks if necessary. What exactly i'm looking for is an average T peak amplitude...
