After carrying out a ferroelectric (PE) loop measurement, we observe the starting and ending point does not meet and there is a gap between them. Why?

I am getting this kind of behavior in my bulk sample (grain size in micron level). Is the nature same for sample of nano order size? What is the reason for this kind of behavior?
