Does have centrifuging or sonicating any effect on covalent bond between thiol and gold nanoparticle ?

I added mercapto propanoic acid to gold nano particle with 400nm and one drop HCl. the solution change from pink color to completely clear, even after sonication. Then I did Centrifuge. after that...
