Hello Readers! Can we intercalate/Echange Double Inhibitor(Synergistic effect) into the gallery of LDH,Layered double hydroxide? please advise me?

Working on LDH but i have a question in my mind,can we insert multiple inhibitor ions into the gallery of LDH by the exchange of anions lying in between the Cations?

Can we synthesize (LDH layer double hydroxides) without Nitrogen Atmosphere?

I am working on layer double hydroxide synthesis.All the literature shows that it must be in Nitrogen Environment,Please suggest me some other method?
