Why does AFM of our exfoliated few-layer black phosphorus show a thickness of 5-6 nm, while it should be less than 2nm based on optical measurements?

We use a PDMS transfer technique, where we exfoliate the black phosphorus on the PDMS first and then dry transfer it to SiO2/Si substrate.
