Are there more possibilities to measure the density and/or porosity of a thin (0,3mm) thermal sprayed cermic layer?

I am looking for different possibilities to determine the porosity/density of thermal sprayed ceramic coatings (10x20cm). I tried to analyse microscopic pictures but I am not statisfied with this...
