Can windfarms be constructed on deep peat soils without without having significant detrimental impact on carbon storage over the medium and long term?

There is evidence of cases where windfarm development has resulted in ensuing carbon loss due to peat disturbance but are there any evidenced cases where carbon balance was not affected?
