I want to prepare a sample of Poly(ethylene terephthalate) PET for transmission electron microscopy, what is the best protocol to do it?

is it better to prepare thin section of the material OR do we need to do resin embedding and sectioning and what is the best stain to use? I have found the article attached; is it useful?
