Can we calculate the concentration of a sample using standard curve with polynomial equation rather than linear equation? What if order is 3 or more?

I plotted a graph in ms-excel which is polynomial i.e .with order 3 (y = 4E-05x3 - 0.006x2 + 0.2436x + 0.5341) instead of linear. I have 30 unknown samples whose concentration is to be determined....
