Is it possible to use of non-isotopic myristic acid methyl ester as an internal standard for GC/MS based metabolomics ?

I would like to know that would it be correct if i use non-isotopic myristic acid methyl ester as an internal standard for plasma analyzing with GC/MS instead of deuterium labeled myristic acid...
