I have solution of two compounds which are only soluble in DMSO. Can these be separated by solvent extraction or some other technique?

I tried many solvents but all are miscible with DMSO so no separation took place. The problem is, both the compounds are soluble in DMSO or water only.

I treated Aspirin(acetyl salicylic acid) with triethyl amine and stirred for 12 hours. suddenly its color changed. I want to know why?

the purpose of triethyl amine is to extract proton from carboxylic group of aspirin.
