Has anybody successfully measured temperature profiles within a Jominy specimen during end quench hardenability tests? What was the bigest challenge?

Based on your experience, can anyone comment on the biggest challenges of conducting an instrumented (thermocouples) Jominy test for temperature data acquisition? Thanks!
