How to prevent the loss of monocytes derived from PBMCs after PBS wash?

I seeded PBMCs in a 10 cm petri dish (1x10^8) and treated them with hM-CSF and incubated them at 37C with 5% CO2 for 3 days. After 3 days, I carefully added PBS to wash and lost most of my cells....
