Why is the acceleration due to gravity (g) not taken into consideration when calculating the weight of soil on a one-hectare area?

Weight of soil = Area of soil * Bulk density of soil * Depth of soil. where mass=density*Volume; volume=Area* Depth. However the formula for weight in physics is mass*accelation due to gravity.
