Does gentamicin treatment cause an increase in the expression of a protein whose gene was integrated in an expression plasmid (pET28a in BL21DE3 as host)?

I had such experience some time ago, gentamicin caused a decrease in expression of all proteins of the host cell but the inserted protein.
