Im just curious whether the metals ions such as Zn2+,Cu2+ ,Fe3+ will pass through the filter paper or not? Should i filter my wastewater sample before i test the concentration of these metals?

How do i get activated carbon under atmospheric condition?

Im looking for the procedure to activate the carbon under atmospheric condition. Because i dont have nitrogen gas or any other inert gas. Is there any other method can help me to activate the carbon?
