Hello, can I steep ground seeds in sterile normal saline solution for 72 hours in a bid to isolate the probiotic bacteria after the fermentation?

Any suggestions if the normal saline would affect the fermentation and growth of probiotic bacteria positively or negatively would be appreciated. Thanks in anticipation.
