I'm trying to do electrophilic addition of 1-methyl-3,3-dimethyl-acetoacetic acid methyl ester with ethyl-3-bromopropinoate using lhmds

The reaction didn't work, i get back the starting material everytime..can anyone suggest a different method to do this reaction?
