How directly is related the oxidation-reduction potential of a bioreactor and his bacterial performance or activity, in anaerobic digestion?

I'm trying to correlate this two parameters but I'm not sure of how valid or functional this might result.

In the process of calibrating an oxidation-reduction potencial measurement device, is it advisable to do so with pH standars such as buffer solutions?

I've read that it is possible to do so, but however I haven't found a very reliable text in wich they describe or advice this practice.

Is there any difference between kjendhal nitrogen (total organic nitrogen) and total elemental nitrogen in organic samples?

Organic samples: OFMSW, digestate from the digestion of the very same OFMSW and vinasse.
