While analysing the whole sequence of ermEp promoter I found that 3 bases were deleted from -35 region of ermEp1. In such case which promoter will work ermEp1 or ermEp2?

What I could understand is that ermEp2 and ermEP1 will be used as trancription and translation initiation, respectively in mutant (ermEp*) promoter.
