Does level of ROS in cells vary with the passage no. of the cancer cell line treated with apoptotic drug?

I am using esophageal cancer cells and trying to detect ROS level with DCFDA and DHE dye using FACS, my results vary so just wanted to get some suggestion. Thanks.
