Why do elastomers swell more than other polymers during the extrusion?

I performed some experiments on ABS and EVA and observed more swelling in the case of EVA material during the extrusion. Can anyone explain why it is happening?

Can anyone suggests, how the bed temperature affects the young modulus and %elongation in thermoplastic elastomers while printing with FDM technology?

In my case, at 40 degree C bed temperature, strength is increasing with increasing elongation but at 50 degree C, slight decrement is observed in strength and %elongation.

In FDM, how number of contours will affect the tensile strength and elongation at break of the samples ?

Number of contours means rasters along the periphery of the layer. In my case, tensile strength is increasing at some extent but the elongation at break is decreasing. Please suggest
